Movie
Walk All Over Me. What a strange little movie.

Leelee Sobieski gets herself in a messed up siituation. She leaves a small town and hitches a ride to Vancouver to visit her sister. Her sister is a dom and to make some extra cash Leelee pretends to be one. She's very tall in bitch boots.

Oh yeah, her sister is Trcia Helfer.

I liked the movie and I think more people should watch it.

Oh...
So, when dotmac switched over to MobileMe something broke (at least on my end).

People could no longer add comments to my blog entries.

After spending some time with the nice Mac tech support through live chatting, we did the following.

Disabled comments on the site and re-uploaded it.
Enabled comments on the site and re-uploaded it.

It didn't work.

Normally, this would be a boourns situation.

It seems that with the migration from dotmac to mobileme, for everything to work tickedy boo, one has to start using web.me.com instead of web.mac.com.

It doesn't auto re-direct the address. That's silly, I know.

So now I'm going to start propagating the new/proper URL. Comments do work under web.me.com addresses.

Both are FREE!!

She lives in Tuscany.

She also has a coffee table she wants to sell for 100$.

If anyone wants them, let me know as soon as possible.

Well...
Today may end up being stranger than usual.

I'm digitising some of [info]4_4_4's LPs and they have included Microstoria, Throbbing Gristle and Coil.

Great morning listening. :)

Oh and I'm reading a memoir about someone's junkie lifestyle (The Night of the Gun by David Carr).

Hmmm
So, A&B Sound Sunridge is closed now. So is the Sports Swap (as expected from my post a couple of weeks ago).

However, as I passed by again something new caught my eye.

The Krispy Kreme is also closed now. The signs have been taken down and the windows have been papered over. There were also moving truck outside today.

I'm kinda curious to know what happened there...

MLM Warning
A warning about a MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) company here in town. Please, tell your family and friends about it.

BIM Corporation (Earnfirm.com, Ultralifeclub.com, BIM Main Products Overview) (formerly Treasure Traders International) has launched in Calgary.

They say "Say Nothing, Say Nothing, Say Nothing!" (meaning, get your friends and family to come to a meeting, but don't tell them anything about it!)

Based in Mississauga, BIM Corporation wants you to earn money. How?

By taking your 3200$ and giving you the opportunity to sell travel packages to other people. Oh and to take more of your money by offering training on how to sell those travel packages. Of course, the presentation makes it clear that there is no guarantee about your ability to make money using their system or products.

They are currently operating out of the Holiday Inn Express on Lake Fraser Drive.

Alan Kippax is the founder of TTI and BIM and here's a Toronto Sun article back in 2006 about him. He seems nice, doesn't he?

Currently the BBB has no complaints against BIM (yet), but Kippax's former company TTI had an unsatisfactory rating.

Consumerinformation.ca has a great definition of MLM vs. Pyramid Selling.

In an effort to be fair, BIM could be completely legitimate, but to me, it smells awful and should be avoided.

The Movable Type portion was fantastic and the Silk Road one just... wow.

Gun Powder was very pretty... :)

The Paper one was beautiful.

The Tai Chi one is ...

I'm having difficulty describing the whole shebang. Just too much going on to break it down in any meaningful way.

OMFG Happy Faced fireworks!

Very odd
We just finished watching The Nines.

A strange three in one movie.

Kind of like watching Sid Meier interact in a Civ game three times over and not doing all that well in the process and some having some of the other characters in game to round out the movie.

I feel a bit let down with the ending, but I understand why. I really enjoyed the second part and the first was a good taste into messing you up.

7/10
